OUR STORY
The brand “Athina Hospitality” was created in April 2023 by Loudovikos and Dimitris Mavronikolas, both professionals in the tourism industry since their childhood and took its name from his grandmother who took part in the creation of the first family-hotel back in 1989.
Comprehensive Hotel Operations Management
The story begins in Kos Island where the brothers’ Mavronikolas got raised in their family-hotel named, Archipelago. Through the years spent in the hotel, both Mavronikolas’ brothers empower their service-oriented culture and have been taught ways to treat people with significant politeness which led to create the best memories during their stay in the property.

Dimitris Mavronikolas
Dimitris Mavronikolas started from “first line” employee taking various positions in the FnB department of hotels which had a result to fully understand the daily procedures as well as the communication through first line employees and management. Then, he moved to the management level of 3* & 4* properties in Kos, Evia Island and Kalamata area. Dimitris is a graduate of Business Administration.
Loudovikos Mavronikolas
Loudovikos Mavronikolas, starting also from “first line” employee in the family business, he took a different roadmap as he spent an important period in travel agencies and tour operators’ sector which led to better comprehend the demand of the tourism market towards hoteliers. In addition, he took 3 years in hotels’ management of boutique properties in Messinia and Paros Island. Loudovikos has a bachelor’s degree in business administration and an MBA degree in hospitality management.
